Service terms, policies, and customer responsibilities

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using AFC Carpet Services' services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Service Description

AFC Carpet Services provides professional carpet, rug, and upholstery cleaning services including but not limited to:

  • Residential carpet cleaning
  • Commercial carpet cleaning
  • Area rug cleaning and restoration
  • Upholstery cleaning
  • Stain removal services
  • Pet odor treatment
  • Emergency cleaning services

3. Scheduling and Appointments

Service appointments are scheduled based on availability. We will make every effort to arrive within the scheduled time window. If we are delayed, we will contact you as soon as possible. Customers are responsible for:

  • Being present during the scheduled service time
  • Providing clear access to areas to be cleaned
  • Removing small items and breakables from carpeted areas
  • Securing pets in a safe area during service

4. Pricing and Payment

Pricing is based on factors including room size, carpet condition, and services requested. Payment terms:

  • Payment is due upon completion of service
  • We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards
  • Commercial accounts may arrange net-30 terms with approved credit
  • Emergency services may incur additional charges
  • Prices are subject to change without notice

5. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation terms:

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before scheduled service
  • Same-day cancellations may incur a service charge
  • No-shows will be charged a minimum service fee
  • Weather-related cancellations will be rescheduled at no charge

6. Service Limitations

While we strive for excellent results, certain limitations apply:

  • Some stains may be permanent and cannot be removed
  • Color bleeding or dye transfer may occur with certain fabrics
  • Pre-existing damage may become more visible after cleaning
  • Carpet shrinkage may occur with natural fiber carpets
  • We do not move heavy furniture without prior arrangement

7. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Providing accurate information about carpet types and stains
  • Disclosing any previous cleaning attempts or treatments
  • Ensuring adequate ventilation during and after cleaning
  • Following post-cleaning care instructions
  • Reporting any concerns within 24 hours of service

8. Liability and Insurance

AFC Carpet Services is fully insured for general liability and property damage. Our liability is limited to the cost of re-cleaning or the amount paid for the service, whichever is less. We are not responsible for damage caused by pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, or customer negligence.

9. Satisfaction Policy

We stand behind our work and strive for customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us within 24 hours, and we will work to resolve any issues. This may include re-cleaning at no additional charge, subject to our assessment of the situation.

10. Health and Safety

For the safety of our technicians and customers:

  • We use eco-friendly, non-toxic cleaning solutions
  • Customers with chemical sensitivities should inform us in advance
  • Areas should be well-ventilated during and after cleaning
  • Keep children and pets away from wet carpets until dry

11. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, and trademarks, is the property of AFC Carpet Services and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Unauthorized use is prohibited.

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from our services will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Maryland state law. Both parties agree to waive their right to a jury trial and to participate in class action lawsuits.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any legal proceedings must be conducted in Maryland courts.
